PixelAlert — Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of PixelAlert, a Chrome extension that checks whether the tracking pixels on your store fire correctly. By installing or using PixelAlert you agree to them.

1. What PixelAlert does

PixelAlert observes network requests your browser makes to known tracking-pixel domains while you browse your own store, and reports whether the expected events fired. PixelAlert Pro additionally checks your store from our servers on a schedule and alerts you if tracking goes quiet.

2. What PixelAlert does not promise

This matters more than the usual boilerplate, so it is stated plainly:

• PixelAlert reports what it can observe. It sees your browser, not your customers' browsers. A clean report means the steps you walked looked correct — not that every customer's session is tracked correctly.
• Some conditions are outside what any browser extension can see: ad blockers, consent gates, accelerated checkouts that run on another domain, and region-specific pixel setups. Where PixelAlert cannot tell, it says so rather than guessing.
• PixelAlert is a diagnostic tool. It does not fix your tracking, and it is not a substitute for your own verification before you rely on ad-platform numbers.

3. Your account and licence key

A Pro subscription gives you one licence key. Keep it private — anyone with the key can activate Pro. You may use it on the browsers you personally use. If you believe a key has been exposed, contact us and we will issue a new one.

4. Acceptable use

Use PixelAlert on stores you own or are authorised to work on. Do not use it to probe sites you have no relationship with, and do not attempt to circumvent the licence check.

5. Availability

We aim to keep the monitoring service running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. If our servers are unreachable, the extension keeps working locally and keeps your existing licence state — it will not silently downgrade you.

6. Changes and cancellation

You can cancel at any time; see the refund policy. We may change these terms — if a change is material we will note it on this page with a new effective date.

7. Liability

PixelAlert is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
